SDSL differs from it's more popular connection of ADSL in a few important ways.
SDSL is a higher speed connection, offering you great speeds and a small contention ratio which means less people in your area are sharing the same line (pipe) to be connected. This therefore helps increase the speed of your connection.
An SDSL connection will upload as fast as it will download meaning out bound processes like sending emails and attachments, to uploading files to a website happens a lot faster than ADSL.
The line SDSL is installed on cannot be used for calls - this is because SDSL uses higher frequencies to be able to connect at such a fast speed.
